This is the most common surface that a TV will be mounted on. With this surface type, there will typically be wood or metal studs located between the wall which will be used to mount the mounting bracket.
TV's can be mounted just about anywhere on a brick or concrete surface. Mounting brackets are drilled and connected onto the brick/concrete surface eliminating the need to use studs behind the wall.
Wood Paneling can either make the installation very tricky or very easy. The best rule of thumb is if the paneling is 1/4- or 3/8-inches thick, we will need to position the brackets in front of studs and screw into the studs for support. If the paneling is 1/2 inch or more thick, you can mount the bracket just about anywhere on the wall.
